Damon® Braces

Damon braces are metal braces with "self-litigating" brackets. Self-litigating brackets allow the braces to slide along the wire more easily. This means that instead of having to tighten or readjust braces on a regular basis, you can rely on your Damon braces and brackets to move naturally with the teeth as they realign. Damon braces generally require less treatment time than treatment with traditional, metal braces.

The Herbst appliance is effective in correcting overbites that are a result of small, lower jaws that are positioned too far back. Generally, this condition is found in children with developing jawbones. While we encourage patients with this condition to wait for the lower jaw to catch up in growth, the Herbst appliance can guide the lower jaw into proper development.
